Covid-19 has challenged so many events this year. A plan demonstrating safety measures must be approved by the Arkansas Health Board before we can call it official, but lawn mower races are scheduled at this time.
Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the Saddle Club arena.
It's great family fun with an admission price of $5.00 per adult and $1.00 per child (5 and under are free). (Safety planning/enforcing will be done by Baxter County Fair volunteers. All ticket sales will go to Baxter County Fair.)
Gregg Farm Services has sponsored the Arkansas Lawnmower Racing Association from Jonesboro for the past several years. This year they asked if they make Mountain Home part of their MidWest racing series. We now expect as many as 50 competitors on high-powered mowers!
Local stock races will also be held for folks that are willing to do a little tinkering to their mower and race among friends. Be sure to read the rules at right. Starting time is still TBA. Register below and we'll be able to keep in touch as needed.
The 2021 Entry Fee is $20 per racer.
Payouts are awarded to first thru third place in the Local Stock Feature Race. Purse = 100% of entry fees plus $300 contributed by Doug Gregg.

Safety is the number one priority in this event.
Gregg Farm employees competed for fun. Ricky Pepper of Emerson, AR supplied a few tillers; our own Robbie Green built one, too. Mr. Pepper has built several tillers to win the World Championship Tiller Racing at the Purple Hull Pea Festival held annually in south Arkansas in June.
